A printable is a graphic design or text that is in the form of a digital download. Examples include art prints, worksheets, calendars, stickers, quotes, and more.

What is Squarespace?

Squarespace is a drag-and-drop website platform, making it easier to set up a website compared to other platforms like WordPress.

All you have to do is fill in the blanks, and Squarespace will let it all happen.

In this blog, I’m going to show you a step-by-step process and all you have to do is follow along. Let’s begin!

There is no additional charge to you, and it supports my channel, so I can continue bringing more content to you all.

In this process, we are going to create an E-commerce store.

Squarespace Set-Up

Step 1: Go to Squarespace.com

Step 2: Creating the website

  • Click Get Started

  • Choose a template that fits your liking.

  • Click Start With This Size

There are different sizes for the website, just pick which size you prefer. Each size would have a distinct style, but with the same theme.

  • Log In to your account/Sign up for your account.

  • Name your website

What’s nice about Squarespace is that they will be giving you a to-do list of the things that you need to put in your website. It might be overwhelming, but it would go easily as you slowly fill in important details on your website.

Domain Name

Step 1: Go to Settings

Step 2: Go to Domains

Squarespace will be giving you a built-in domain, but that’s not what you are going to use. If you want to have all your information on the same site, you can purchase the one Squarespace has given, but mind you that it is quite expensive. Fortunately, I have another way to create a domain and it is cheaper.

I’m still going to give a process on how to get a domain in Squarespace if you preferred it.

Steps to get Domain Name on Squarespace:

  • Click Create A Domain

  • Choose a domain that the Squarespace has given you.

  • Add to cart

Steps to get Domain Name on Namecheap:

Namecheap is where you can buy cheaper domain names. One thing I like about Namecheap is that their customer service is really great. If within 24 hours you bought the wrong domain name, they will credit you a refund.

All you have to do is:

  • Choose a domain name

  • Add to cart and pay.

They might have some coupons that you could use, which is great.

Now that you have purchased a domain name, go back to Squarespace.

Step 3: Use domain name

If you purchased your domain name from Namecheap:

  • Click Use A Domain I Own.

  • Then type in the ones you’ve bought.

  • Select Connect Domain

  • Input Namecheap on Select Provider

  • Connect Domain Name

There might be some details that Squarespace that will need for you to follow so that they could approve your domain name, you can click their step-by-step guide when DNS Setting pops up. After you have to fill in the details, just click Refresh and once everything is done, click Test Connection. You will know that the domain is connected when a screen pops up and says Private Site.

Add Products

Before adding your products, make sure that your store is an e-commerce store. To check that:

  • Click Commerce

  • There would be questions that will pop up. All you have to do is answer those that would relate to the products that you will sell.

  • Once done, you can start adding products.

Step 1: Add the important details of your product

  • Add your product name, the image of the product, the file of your printable, the description, and pricing.

Step 2: Category

  • Add a category: if you don’t have one, you can just create a new one.

  • Edit the URL slug for your product and set an enabling page filter visibility.

  • Once done with the category details, click Add To Your Main Navigation.

There are more details that need to be filled in, and you can just ‌fill them out. The more you put information, the more it's better.

Step 3: Save And Publish

Squarespace Plan

Squarespace is not a free tool for creating a website. If you want to subscribe, click Subscribe at the bottom part. There would be plans that will appear, and you could just select any plan that you want. I prefer you choose to pay Annually since it would be cheaper in the end. In picking your plan, read the features that most apply to your website.

Create A Logo

You can place your logo if you have one already, but if you don’t have one, here is the step-by-step on how to create one.

In creating my logos, I use Placeit. It is an easy way tool to create your logo and graphics. It may be a paid subscription, but once you’ve purchased it, you can easily do your logos.

Step 1: Click Create Logo

Step 2: Enter your company name

Step 3: Pick an industry

Step 4: There would be a lot of logo suggestions, you can just pick one that you like the best.

Step 5: You can edit your logo and make it more customized.

Step 6: Save your logo and let’s go back to Squarespace.

Step 7: Upload your logo on Squarespace and edit the size to your liking.

Squarespace Basics

In this part, you can edit your website however you like. Customize that would fit your products. You can change the alignment, font, background color, and text color. You can also remove some sections that are deemed irrelevant and add a privacy policy.

Before publishing, check the navigation links to ensure they are all necessary and in the right order. Edit also the details that are on the navigation links that would relate to you or to your products. Fill in important details that would help those people who will visit your website know you and your products.

Social Media

To link your social media on the website:

  • Go to Settings

  • Click Social Links

  • Add your social media links and email.

Footer Copyright

In the footer is where you’ll put your copyright. Go to the bottom part and make sure to add the copyright.

Privacy Policy

Private Policy is important for legal purposes. I recommend that when putting the privacy policy on your website, you should talk to a privacy expert.

In putting privacy policy:

  • Click Not Linked plus sign

  • Select the blank page and write Privacy Policy

  • Edit and your privacy policy

  • Done and Save

You have to insert your Privacy Policy on your footer, to do that:

  • Go to the bottom and add another footer text.

  • Type in Privacy Policy and link your privacy page to that word.

  • Save and Apply

And that’s pretty much it

If you followed the tutorial, your website is done and ready. Just do whatever you like on your website that would fit your products. Happy selling!
